Finishing Design Services was formed in 1999 by Neil Matthew and Matthew Hudson.
We offer a complete machine manufacturing service ranging from simple jigs and workstations to large production machines.
Our team of dedicated staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience in their chosen fields. The combined technical know-how each member contributes ensures we can offer our customers a service, which is second to none.

Our machining shop is equipped with a range of CNC machining centres and manual machines.
We utilise up to date CAD CAM software allowing us to produce intricate components to fine tolerances.
Our fabrication department is staffed by highly skilled engineers who take great pride in the standard of their work.
Fabricated frames and sheet metal components are made to the highest possible standard.
Our large assembly workshop allows us to fully assemble, wire and commission our machines prior to shipping and installation. This greatly minimises installation and commissioning time on site, streamlining the installation process and minimising customer downtime.

Strict health and safety policies are adhered to during installation and commissioning at customer sites and in our own factory.

Our engineers have a wealth of experience in control system design, PLC programming, robotics and motion control. All control panels are built to a high specification and meet all current legislation.
Many customers require that control systems be built to their specification. This has expanded our knowledge of available technology with many successful installations using Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi and Siemens PLC’s.
Where applicable we utilise the benefits of secure remote access, allowing a rapid response to customer needs.
